100 Years of Art Deco – A Century of Modern Elegance
In 1925, Paris amazed the world: The “Exposition internationale des arts décoratifs et industriels modernes” instantly made the new, clean, luxurious style famous—from Jacques-Émile Ruhlmann’s furniture designs to the visionary pavilions along the banks of the Seine. It is precisely this event that gave rise to the term Art Deco.
To mark the 1925–2025 anniversary, Paris is once again turning its attention to this pivotal moment—at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, 107–111, rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, in the heart of the Louvre complex. Anyone who wants to understand how French luxury, technical innovations, and geometric precision came together to form a globally celebrated style cannot miss this venue.
At RSA Antiques, you’ll find a curated selection of Art Deco furniture, bronzes, lighting, and decorative objects—many of them inspired by the great Parisian interior designers of the 1920s. Our goal: to showcase pieces that bring the spirit of 1925 back to life today—clean, elegant, urban, featuring fine woods and luxurious finishes.
