Seal table lamp

The Art Deco Sea Dog table lamp from “Carvin” is an outstanding example of the sophisticated craftsmanship and unique design of this period. Made in France around 1930, this silver-plated lamp features two playful seals juggling a ball. The sculptor’s signature “Carvin” can be found on the marble slab, which has an attractive black-yellow-gray grain pattern.

Louis Albert Carvin (1875-1951 Paris), a renowned sculptor, was particularly dedicated to modeling people and animals. His skills and dedication to detail are clearly visible in this table lamp. The seals made of white bronze silver-plated metal are artfully mounted on the marble top and give the lamp a touch of grace and liveliness.

The interplay of silver-plated metal and grained Portor marble gives the lamp an elegant and luxurious appearance that is characteristic of the Art Deco style. This table lamp is not only a functional light source, but also an impressive work of art that enriches the room with its charm and beauty.

Another animal lamp from this period is the seal Art Deco table lamp.
