Taittinger is a French champagne house founded in 1734. They named after the Taittinger family who has owned the company since 1932. The Taittinger family has a long tradition in winemaking and has been based in the Champagne region since the 18th century.

The company has advertised with this Grace Kelly “Champagne Dame” poster.

Taittinger produces a wide range of champagnes, including brut, sec, and rosé champagnes. The wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in the best vineyards in Champagne and undergo careful selection and processing.

Taittinger also has a reputation for producing high-quality sparkling wines. The champagne house was one of the first to promote the trend of Blanc de Blancs champagnes (champagne made from Chardonnay grapes). It also produces excellent rosé sparkling wines.

Grace Kelly

Grace Kelly was born on November 12, 1929, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John B. Kelly Sr., a successful rower and businessman, and Margaret Katherine Majer, a fashion enthusiast. Kelly grew up in a wealthy family and was encouraged by her parents to pursue her talents and interests.

At the age of 18, Kelly joined the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She began her acting career on stage. She made her film debut in “Fourteen Hours” in 1951 but only received her first leading role in the 1952 film “Mogambo”. Kelly quickly became one of the most sought-after actresses of her time. Working with renowned directors such as Alfred Hitchcock and John Ford.

In 1955, Kelly met Prince Rainier III of Monaco at the Cannes Film Festival and they fell in love. The couple married the following year. Kelly gave up her acting career to focus on her role as Princess of Monaco. She was involved in charitable work and advocated for the preservation of the arts in Monaco.

On September 13, 1982, Kelly suffered a stroke in a car accident and died . The following day at the age of 52. She was buried in the cemetery of Monaco and left a lasting impression as one of the most elegant and talented actresses of her time.
