Large Illuminated Art Deco Bronze – “Fayral” (Max Le Verrier)
This impressive Art Deco bronze sculpture originates from France and dates back to around 1940. It was created by “Fayral,” a well-known pseudonym of the artist Max Le Verrier (1881–1973). The statue depicts an elegant female figure, holding a large, luminous sphere in a graceful yet powerful pose. This creates a captivating symbol of the harmony between movement, energy, and feminine grace, a characteristic of the 1940s.
Light, Reflection, and Shadow
Crafted from finely worked white bronze, the figure rests on an elegant marble base. This effectively underscores its austere, clear design. The integrated lighting creates a dynamic interplay of light, reflection, and shadow, revealing new facets of the sculpture depending on the angle of the light.
