Pressed glass with a blue patina, decorated with garlands of berries and flowers.

Signed “Lalique” underneath the base.

The Lalique “Vichy” vase

The vase’s moulded decoration brings together floral detail and a strong geometric rhythm. Garlands sweep across the glass in repeated curves, while the berries and blossoms catch the light in relief. The subtle blue colouring adds depth to the transparent glass.

Seen from above, the decoration continues around the rim and into the interior. The vase offers a different interplay of pattern and light from each angle. It is a distinctive example of French decorative glass from the Art Deco period.
