Vase by René Lalique

The vase “Saint Marc” in pink glass was designed by the French artist and glass designer René Lalique. The vase is named after the Basilica San Marco in Venice and was produced between 1911 and 1912.

The pink glass used to create the vase is a special glass that Lalique developed himself. It has a delicate pink color and a matte texture that gives the vase’s design a soft, elegant touch.

The vase’s relief design depicts doves sitting on a branch and is known for its fine detail work and precise execution, which is typical of Lalique’s art glass works.

Today, the “Saint Marc” vase in pink glass is a sought-after collector’s item and can be admired in renowned art museums and collections around the world. It is an example of Lalique’s innovation and creativity in glass processing and an important contribution to the history of handicrafts in the early 20th century.
