Fritz Brändel

Fritz Brändel (1869-1930) was a German painter associated with the Impressionism and Art Nouveau movements. He was born in Leipzig and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Gabriel von Hackl and Heinrich von Zügel. He later became a member of the Munich Secession and participated in their exhibitions.

Brändel was known for his landscapes, particularly scenes from the Bavarian countryside and the Alps. He also painted portraits, still lifes, and genre scenes. His style was characterized by bright, luminous colors and loose brushstrokes.

Today, Brändel’s works can be found in museums and private collections throughout Germany and Europe. His paintings are highly sought after by collectors and can command high prices at auction.
